Capua Law and Benton Roofing Named Co-Presenting Sponsors of the 2025 Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5K

ASHEVILLE, NC – We are excited to announce that Capua Law and Benton Roofing have joined as Co-Presenting Sponsors of our 2025 Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5K, scheduled for September 27, 2025, at Hi-Wire Brewing’s River Arts District Beer Garden. This partnership brings together two established Western North Carolina businesses to support our region’s running community while benefiting several area nonprofits including Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, Consider Haiti, and Read To Succeed Asheville/Buncombe.

A Meaningful Return After Hurricane Helene

Our 2025 Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5K represents more than just a race – it’s a symbol of Asheville’s resilience and the community spirit we’re passionate about. After Hurricane Helene devastated our 2024 event with historic flooding that left 30 feet of water on our original course, we’ve designed a completely new, soon-to-be USATF-certified route that showcases our community’s recovery efforts.

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue continues their mission to better the lives of companion animals and the people who love them. After losing their main shelter to Hurricane Helene flooding, Brother Wolf has successfully reached their Phase One fundraising goal of $1.5 million and is actively working to construct a new, purpose-built shelter on higher ground.

Consider Haiti focuses on promoting the health and welfare of Haitian children and their families each year through sustainable health interventions and community-led solutions. Their innovative Goat Program provides nutrition, economic stability, and educational opportunities for families in need.

Read To Succeed Asheville/Buncombe has served over 2,500 students in PreK through 5th grade during their fifteen years of operation, working to ensure all children become confident readers through kindergarten readiness programs, tutoring, and community literacy initiatives.
