THE 47th ANNIVERSARY OF ASHEVILLE NC’s OLDEST RUNNING EVENT

The Thomas Wolfe 8k is Asheville’s oldest running event. First run in 1976, the race will celebrate its 47th running in 2024.
This beautiful autumn run/walk highlights many of Asheville’s favorite sites. Start at the Tempie Avery Montford Center in Montford, run through the historic Montford neighborhood and continue past Wolfe’s final resting place in the Riverside Cemetery.
Come on out and see why this race has become a deeply rooted Asheville tradition!
All runners receive a custom Thomas Wolfe 8k long sleeved tech t-shirt, custom race bib, finisher medal and a chip timed event.
