DESCRIPTION:2026 SMOKY MOUNTAIN RELAY\nA 200+ MILE RELAY RACE NEAR ASHEVILLE\, NC\nApril 24th-25th\, 2026\nFor over a decade the Smoky Mountain Relay has been inspiring teams of runners from around the country. \nThe 200+ mile course is a scenic\, wild\, team adventure in the Blue Ridge Mountains\, just west of Asheville\, North Carolina. \nChoose from 6 person\, 9 person or 12 person teams to split up the 36 legs. The 208 mile course begins at the Pisgah Ranger Station Visitor Center just outside of Brevard\, NC in the Pisgah National Forest and ends at the Nantahala Outdoor Center in Bryson City \nThe course is a mix of trail running\, gravel and dirt forest service roads\, as well as paved roadways. Be prepared to not only run through the woods but also\, on roadways at night.
